Future science teachers’ awareness of stem

This study examines how pre-service science teachers perceive STEM fields and STEM education. The research was based on a descriptive survey model. The sample was determined according to the purpose of the study using the purposeful sampling method. A questionnaire available in the literature was used to determine how the second-year pre-service teachers studying in the Science Education Department at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University define STEM fields or how a relationship between STEM fields. The answers to the questionnaires were examined for coding purposes. Codes were used to determine topics and categories. Preservice science teachers showed an interdisciplinary approach to science and demonstrated an average knowledge of STEM disciplines.
