 Formation of sociolinguistic competence  of future foreign language teachers

  The article examines pedagogical conditions for the formation of sociolinguistic competence of future foreign language teachers. The article presents a component diagram of communicative competence, which demonstrates the high importance of sociolinguistic competence in training competitive specialists who would meet international requirements in the field of intercultural communication. The authors define the approaches, principles, and technologies for the formation of sociolinguistic competence and outline the didactic conditions for its implementation. Interactive technologies based on the Google Classroom platform can be efficiently used for the formation of sociolinguistic competence of students at different stages of training. They can help reveal the strong and weak linguistic and cultural aspects of the competence of future foreign language teachers, control the entire learning process, as well as save time for the preparation and conduct of classes. A step-by-step diagram of the formation of sociolinguistic competence is given. The authors substantiate a high role of self-education, which is a powerful tool for improving professional skills.
