Problems of the anxiety of foreign students in higher education institutions of Kazakhstan
The article examines the anxiety related to the study of international students in higher schools of Kazakhstan. Anxiety is viewed as a basic physiological response of a human to a specific situation. At the same time, anxiety can pose a serious threat to people of different ages due to the modern generation’s stressful lifestyle. Anxiety is a common, though ambivalent phenomenon in the learning process. On the one hand, normal anxiety mobilizes learning activities. On the other hand, a high level of stress embarrasses safe coping with unpleasant emotions. Anxiety directly affects the adaptation of international students in the social environment, their successful education, self-awareness, self-management, control, and self-esteem. Recommendations as to how to organize the training process are provided for teachers working with international students.
